How to Export Your Mint Data (Before They Shut Down)
Note: Mint has officially shut down. If you missed the deadline, you may still be able to request data via Credit Karma's support.
If you were a long-time user of Mint, you likely have years of financial history stored in their servers. Losing that data is a nightmare.
The good news is that you can export it to a CSV file and keep it safe—or import it into a new tool like ExpenTrace.
Step 1: Log in to Mint / Credit Karma
Navigate to the "Transactions" tab. This is where your raw data lives.
Step 2: Filter (Optional)
If you only want data from a specific year or account, apply those filters now. Otherwise, leave it default to export everything.
Step 3: Export to CSV
Scroll to the very bottom of the transaction list. You will find a link labeled "Export all transactions". Click it.
A file named `transactions.csv` will download to your computer.
Step 4: Importing to ExpenTrace
We are building a CSV import tool to help Mint refugees find a new home. In the meantime, having that CSV file is crucial. It’s your data—keep it safe.
Don't let a corporate shutdown erase your financial history.
